Sola AIR
The ambient intent framework.
A compiler-first JavaScript framework where AI is a reactive primitive. .sola files compile to zero-dependency vanilla DOM, and $intent signals resolve AI state at the framework level.
The idea
Every AI feature in a web app is bolted on: a fetch, a loading flag, a parser, error handling. I wanted the framework itself to understand intent, the same way it understands state.
What I built
- Custom Acorn AST compiler that outputs direct DOM instructions, with no virtual DOM
- Signals-based $state and $derived with fine-grained updates (~3.9 KB core, gzipped)
- $intent: resolves structured data from any LLM provider as a reactive value
- $data with Sola Relay: local databases without exposing credentials to the cloud
- Vite plugin, scoped styles, and a Chrome extension studio
